My boyfriend is an artist. He did a painting that I absolutely loved and he told me that I was his inspiration for doing it. I've come to find a picture of one of his "female" friends and the painting is exactly like the face paint/mask she had on. so he basically lied. Now how do I go about approaching this to him since hes like such an *** and would rather destroy the painting than to actually talk to me about it..........argggggg

You're dating an artist, so it wasn't a lie it was poetic license. Just because you weren't the model doesn't mean that you weren't the inspiration.

Finally, what do you want him to say? You love the picture modelled on a friend of his, so he told a white lie so to protect your feelings about the painting. Bringing up how it was modelled off of a another girl wouldn't help anything.

Relax-- you're dating an artist. They're going to be quirky.
