PC's Specs:

Back In October, I had Installed Windows Vista RC1 on my PC (before I bought my PCI graphics card) The install of RC1 ran fine, though after about 20 minutes after it was finished and comp. installed, the PC would freeze, and the screen would go black with color lines all over, and I would have to press the reset button on the PC to get it off, then start it up, and it would work for a while, but then it would happen again. Then I bought a new graphics card and installed vista RTM the other day and the install wouldnt continue after 'extracting files', it would just freeze. So i took out the new card and plugged my screen into the old integrated graph. card, and it did the same thing as it did in RC1, it would freeze, and with the new card, i couldnt even log on, it would just hang
any help?

the DVD is definitely corrupted.
Several users have reported that pirated RTM of Vista were corrupted.
Re-download the ISO DVD image from MSDN or wait to buy a genuine DVD.
In case yours is already from MSDN, then use your link and download the ISO again, burn the DVD @ low speed, and try again.

Good luck.

I think you should check your PC with "Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor" before installing Vista. This program is available at Microsoft's free downloads. This program will check and tell about your computer and it's compatibility of hardwares with Vista. It will advise everything.

Good Luck.
