I live there, and just wondered what people thought of it.

I live in Edinburgh. I think most of the towns in between the central belt cities struggle with their identity/profile. Few people go there who don't already live there. Falkirk's pulled its head above the water in terms of recognition, but it's still not a great place, is it?

My dad used to work in Linlithgow's Springfield community education centre (1980-1996). That was always staffed by real diamonds. Linlithgow Academy seems like a pretty good school.

Isn't it too early in the morning to be wondering about this? :-)

Yes its quite a nice town. I studied Argriculture in Broxburn, so used to visit Linlithgow in the evening (for the pubs) when there was nothing to do. I like the place, mind it will have changed since I last visited as I have lived in London sice 1989.

Traditionally, the women are 'Black Bitches'

The crown on the church is horrible and it's a pity the English burned the palace.

The record for driving from Haymarket to the town is held by a Lotus 11 and is asid to be a wee bit more than 10 minutes.

Yes, I've been a couple times. Used to go walking around the loch beside Linlithgow palace. It's a pretty place. :-)

I've been there a couple of time to visit my beloved's auntie and I like what I saw of it (not much unfortunately). I remember swans.
I always smile when I see the newscaster Lynne Lithgow
