The corrosion is the phenomenon of chemical reaction between two metals or between metals and oxygen+humidity. Rust is only the corrosion of Iron or steel(contains pure Iron). Is a product of corrosion of this element or of the alloy (between pure Iron and Carbon).

hmm, i think corrosion is when something is eaten away by something else and rust is just oxidization with a metal (eg. iron reacts with oxygen to make that orangy rust)

Rust :
It happens only with iron and its alloys.scientifically speakimg it is the oxidation of ferrous content in iron.Due to rust the metal may corrode.

Corrosion:
Any thing which is sujected to detorioration we call it has corrosion. For ex: silver may corrode. But silver dosent get rusted.Only iron or steel does.
