All cells, tissues, and yes, occasionally a nerve, can become irritated from time to time depending on circumstances. You are likely to get one or two really severe cases of flu before age 35....
Drink some V8 juice every day, take a multi-vitamin. The B-vitamins are good for nerves. Hmmmmm, B-1, I think.
This has happened to many people, myself included, it goes away for most. Some few have a problem where it persists or gets worse.
In that case, you should consult a Board Certified Neurologist -- FIRST -- to save money and get the most satisfactory Dx and therapy medical science has to offer.
Keep your hands out of your eyes during the flu season!!!!

That happens to me. I have noticed it happens the day after the nights I dont sleep well, or when I have too many deadlines at work--(in other words stress). This started about a year ago and it comes and goes every two weeks or so.

it might be a side effect after a cold that you had, or some kind of virus. it all has to do with nerves...... maybe you are under high stress right now

worrying will only make a twitch worse. if you're not happy about it see your gp, who can ascertain if its a physical problem, or maybe youre feeling stressed...

It's normal. Don't worry. It happens to everyone. It will go away on it's own.

it could be normal, but ask someone you know or see your doctor.
it could be an allergic reaction to something, or your nervous system
