Hi, I am with my first girlfriend, and I don't want to rush or pressure her into anything, even if it's small. How long should i wait before trying to kiss her? When is too soon?. I am 16 years old, we both(well i hope she does, I do) take the relationships much more seriously and maturely then the average "highschool" relationships. I also have never kissed someone on the lips, or anywhere for that matter. Any tips?(well good breath of coarse, but besides that.)

@greenmano - most HS relationships aren't serois at all. Why would i want to be part of that kind of BS? There are some kids who just sleep with eachother for fun, thats not for me. I want a real girlfriend.

"much more seriously and maturely than the average 'highschool' relationship" kind of sets off alarm bells. Highschool relationships are immature and not serious for good reason, so perhaps you'd be better off taking your relationship less seriously.
She'll let you know if you wait too long to kiss-- she'll eventually get impatient and leave you an obvious openning. How long do you wait-- until you are certain she will enjoy it. You can get a feeling of how ready you are from other physical contact: hugs, holding hands, pecks on the cheek. If that type of contact is more tender than nervous or jovial, than she'd probably warm up to sharing a kiss. That said, most women have a line which if crossed quickly kills all romance and could get you slapped. When I was 16, there were girls where kissing was that line so she may totally freeze up and get weird about it.
Tips on kissing... its a partner dance not break dance. Relax, have fun, but make sure she is relaxed and having fun.

There was one girl in HS that described kissing in words so well. She said that how to french kiss is to lock your lips to that person and stick your tounge out and swirl it. Be creative though. But for that ultimate first kiss, start with a tap and then just go with the flow. You can also start with a kiss on the cheek and work your way to her lips. And remember, just let it happen. Its the greatest feeling ever!

Dude.. kiss her softly and don't stick your tongue down her throat like you're trying to fish out a chicken nugget. Gently put your hand on her cheek, thumb in front of the ear and pull, without pulling, her in to you, cock your head a little to the side, and since it's the first kiss, just barely open your lips and kiss her like she's as fragile as crystal glasses. The sooner you kiss her the better, or she will be off looking for someone who will kiss her. The trick when kissing on the lips is to get your tongue into her mouth as far as possible. The further you can get it in the more she will be dying to get to second base. well i am 12 and i have already kissed my bf and when he asked he just asked if i felt ready to do more then hold hands and i said be more sepicif so he said kiss so we kissed and that was about 1 month ago and we are still together.
