I think over all it you'd be treading in very choppy waters. If the person is showing interest, the messages could be sincere or caculated (not for the best). Depending on how your previous encounter with the friend ended, is important. Over all, you would be taking a very risky chance with this pursuit.

its ok as long as you get permission from the person u recently dated, its only polite. or ask the girl u want to go out with if your ex will mind. if you don't you'll just get mixed up in drama. most likely it will be ok, unless the ex gets selfish or jealous or something or the girl u want to ask out is afraid of hurting her friend.

That is pretty bad form and a good way to screw with the person you recently broke up with. I'd avoid that situation if possible.

depends how recently and if you were dating a long time or if you broke up as friends or if it was hateful, but it's a very bad idea most of the time
