My husband is coming home after being gone for 1 year and I need to lose at least 15 pounds by March 7, 2007. Does anyone know of a fast acting short term diet?

Low carb diet works. I've tried starvation... yeah, I don't think so. I've tried hoodia and other diet products. Didn't work for me. Yes, diet and exercise will work. And you still have a couple of months to lose 15 pounds... definately a realistic goal.
You might want to try Susane Sommers "Sommersize" (I personally haven't tried it, but I heard it works) or The Zone Diet (the book is called "Enter the Zone). It calls for less bread, pasta, corn, and potatoes and more meat, chicken, fish, and fruits and veggies.
The zone (which is what I tried) is kinda complicated if you get really into it, dealing with measuring yourself and you have to do math to find out how much to eat. But I lost about 15 pounds in a month just by touching the tip of the iceberg (I didn't do all the measuring and math, just followed basic eating habits it outlines for you). And it was really easy. It did not feel like a diet, but more like "changing your diet." Also, it calls for you to eat snacks! You have to eat snacks, but good ones, of course.
P.S. No junk food, no sodas
Good Luck! Happy returns for your hubby!

Duromine is more often than not essentially the most common one that physicians will prescribe however I strongly advise not taking it! It makes you lose your urge for food to the point where you don't want to eat something and ANY TIME of the day, you get heart pulpitations and cannot slep at night time. Well-nigh, it acts as an amphetamine to your body, like most eating regimen pills do. I not most effective recognize this from my experience, but a number of acquaintances of mine have also tried it out! Your satisfactory bet is to try some thing more typical - do you've got "Herbalife" in the us? Which you can purchase notably formulated weight reduction shakes (you are expected to have two a day, plus one meal, plus a couple of small healthful snacks. The manufacturer also makes a capsule (do not know what it's referred to as) that you take after having a fatty meal (beacuse all and sundry slip up once in a while) which soak up's the meal's fat so that you don't! Anyway, the benefit of the shakes is that it is available in a powder form (an d avariety of flavours) and that you may be as inventive with it as you adore - adding fruit and things like that! Good success and bear in mind that the nice solution to shed pounds is slowly - it is a lot less difficult to hold it off that method.
