is it wrong to still want a fairy tale type of love. as unrealistic as it is, is it completely stupid to still wish that someone would come along and sweep you off your feet and continue to treat you like a total princess for the rest of your life?

There is nothing wrong with wanting it, and it may just happen one day. At the same time there is statistical reality, the mean thing, which showss numbers of unhappy marriages, divorces, etc.
I think the best way to be treated as a princes is to actually continue to be one for that prince's heart.
I have no doubt that you can make a man happy and be happy yourself.

Ever seen the movie Dodgeball? I really like what he says about goals and dreams... "if you never set a goal for yourself, you'll never be disapointed.."
Which is true.. but then, what is there to live for if not the *possibility* that something that beautiful might exist?
Every girl deserves to be treated like a princess, in my opinion, and no girl should settle for anyone less than the guy who will treat them that way! Never lower your standards to make a guys standards go higher... consider yourself the best catch out there, and set goals for the romance in your life, and dont stop until you find them!
You need to find that guy who will make your knees buckle with just a kiss, who will give you butterflies with a smile... and a guy who will pamper you with all the spoils that love allows...
... its not just a fairy tale, dear.. its real.. the fairy tale part, is believing that it doesn't exist - thats when you sell yourself short...

There is nothing wrong with a fairy tale love. I once had a man that treated me like a queen so I know that they exist. Good luck.

You can always fantasy about the relationship you want, but until you get into it, you won't know if it's your "fairy tale" kinda love or not. Sometimes and I know it's rare, but those do kinda happen. Good luck and git er done

Are you kidding? I'd say you are insane not to wish that. But I know it is just a fantasy. How could that really happen? Think about it. How many psychic men are out there willing to be every womans fantasy. No one would ever be able to know your every waking wish, thought, and desire....so were screwed.
