Having been mentally ill myself for awhile, I know that physical activity helps the serotonin get moving in your brain, just as an antidepressant might. (however, if you are on meds, don't stop taking them) Plus, you can't deny it makes you feel great.

The benefits are that you hardly feel sad or anything like that. You feel great, because exercise releases toxins in your body that causes sad emotions and other "negative" emotions. I used to laze around all day but now, hopping on that Bowflex and jogging around really got me going. I feel great! You will too!
