Yes you can peel a lemon like any citrus fruit. I peel them when I'm making fruit salad but I soak them thinly sliced with sugar and alcohol. I peel lemons because I find the pith as bitter as the lemon.

Yes - but if you are trying to make lemonade you should use a rasp or microplaner. This will take off just the colorful part and give your lemonade lemony taste/color without the bitterness. If you want to eat the lemon I would recommend trying a sweeter variety like the Meyer lemon

I'm sure you can although I have never tried it. Why go through all that work to peel a lemon when you can just cut it?

yes most lemons have very thick soft peel. but a lime have a very thin peel so it is more difficult

no i don,t think so you need to use a sweess a lemon but first cut hafe of it. or use a cheess grinder.
