Pagan Beliefs vary greatly between individuals. your best bet is to ask her, just wait the 3 weeks.

if i were doing something like that it would be because the Raven is one of my totem animals. and i would think that with proper ritual and preperation of the feather and grass matt and then sleepiing with it you may gain some wisdom or possibly some protection durring dream walking.

but she may have a different reason.

depends on what type of grass this is. raven feathers are good protectors and are great to call upon before sleeping. usually putting these items under the pillow can suggest that he or she wants protection while she's sleeping or even wanting to dream about something. i've heard of many things being put under pillows so this is not shocking to me. besides, i don't pay attention to what books are saying about what should be used anymore.

I'm Wiccan and I can honestly say that I've never heard of this. Sorry I can't help.

Your friend is not right. Get them to a doctor fast. They must have eaten the bird and lured it with the nest?
