Every human being is supposed to have lymph notes running all over the body. How you counted it as 6-7 ? It is quite normal. Read above Lympy notes. Only in case you have any swelling or tumour like thing you have to worry and show to your doctor immediately. Other wise nothing to worry-
Lymph node
Small, rounded mass of lymphoid tissue contained in connective tissue. They occur all along lymphatic vessels, with clusters in certain areas (e.g., neck, groin, armpits). They filter bacteria and other foreign materials out of lymph and expose them to lymphocytes and macrophages that can engulf them; these cells multiply in response to accumulation of such materials, which is why lymph nodes swell during infections. The nodes also produce lymphocytes and antibodies, to be carried by lymph throughout the lymphatic system. In Hodgkin disease and other lymphomas, malignant lymph cells proliferate, causing lymph node enlargement. Other cancers often invade lymphatic vessels, which can carry cells from the tumour to lymph nodes, where they are trapped and grow into secondary tumours. Lymph nodes are therefore removed in cancer surgery to detect or prevent tumour spread.-

Lymph nodes are components of the lymphatic system. They are occasionally called "lymph glands", but as they do not secrete substances this is incorrect terminology. Lymph nodes act as filters, with an internal honeycomb of connective tissue filled with lymphocytes that collect and destroy bacteria and viruses. When the body is fighting an infection, lymphocytes multiply rapidly and produce a characteristic swelling of the lymph nodes. Humans have approximately 500-600 lymph nodes distributed throughout the body, with clusters found in the underarms, groin, neck, chest, and abdomen.

Lymph Node:
small bean-sized organs made up mostly of densely packed
LYMPHOCYTES, LYMPH FLUID and connective tissue. Clusters of lymph nodes are widely distributed in the body and are essential to the functioning of the immune system. They are the main sites where acquired immune responses are launched (see IMMUNE SYSTEM and NAIVE T CELL). Lymph nodes are connected with each other, other lymphoid tissue and the blood by the LYMPHATIC VESSELS.
You do not have 6-7 lymph nodes…
they're all over your body... you must be confused with something else...

Everyone has lymph nodes all over their bodies. They produce Lymph, or white blood cells to fight infection. You don't want to get rid of them, you'd be a very sick person.

We have lots of them. Probably most common is in the neck, under the arms and in the groin. They serve as filters for various things. They catch cancer cells......whether good or bad. Good luck. Pops

You are suppose to have them. If they swell up, it is just a sign that you have an infection.
