sorry no but water alone will only give the spawns a bath. i am a cosmetologist instructor and deal with this every year. you must use a lice shampoo. follow instuctions to the t. wash all bed linens in hot water with bleach and dry on high heat for at least 30 minutes. dispose of pillows or wash and dry as above then place in a plastic trash bag and place outside away from animals for a week. be sure to spray bedding with a lice spray. treat stuffed animals the same as the pillows. most of all check all children around you for future infestations. if you're not diligent about it they will win.

oh lice are like nature's little torture methods! You can't drown lice though. They can hold their breath for a very long time. I know it sounds funny, but it's true!! You'll need to get shampoo and a comb. Most kits come with everything you need. Some good news is that lice cannot live away from their "home" for more than 24 hours! But!!!! it is very important that you do a follow up treatment in i believe 7 days, because the adults you killed with the shampoo, have layed eggs! The eggs left behind from combing out the hair will hatch and give you problems all over again!!

The best thing you can do to get rid of lice is to use conditioner and a fine tooth comb and go through the hair a section at a time.
My daughter has had endless problems with lice, she is a lice magnet! So we comb through her hair like this once per week.
Try not to over wash the hair, always braid long hair' slick it back with styling product and a good blast every now and then with a hairdryer is most unliked by the lice.

No, unfortunately it does not. Lice can breathe underwater and will cling to your scalp. Also, that would not get rid of the eggs that they lay in your hair. You need to buy an over the counter lice treatment product that will comb out the nits and kill the bugs with a special comb and shampoo. You should also buy spray for the furniture and wash the bedsheets very well because if you get rid of it, you can easily get it back even if one bug is still alive and it lays eggs. If you can not get rid of it or it keeps coming back you can get a stronger shampoo from the doctor, but you willl need a presciption. Also if the bugs keep bugging you there is a Robicomb that works very well! Good Luck! :-)

You should most defently wash all clothes, bed sheets, pillow cases. You should use a lice shampoo with a small bristle comb. Just to make this a little bit better, lice can't live without being on someone's hair. So if they fall into the carpet at all, they'll be dead.

no it won't , your best chance is getting rid of them with something from the chemist, I understand that there are some good products out there. A school teacher friend of mine recommended that every time I washed my daughters hair I put loads of conditioner on her head (doesn't need to be the expensive stuff) and comb through with a nit comb, then rinse off. That kept the little blighters at bay for our household.

uh probably, but then they would just stick to your body and give you rashes in places you don't want. you have to wash your hair with lice shampoo and pick the nasty boogers out.

No that won't kill them. There are 2 different kinds of medicine that can get rid of them..one of them is called "nix" and the other is called "rid-x" they are not expensive. They both work the same. Make sure that you wash all bed linens and pillow cases just to make sure that you got them all
