Virgin Mary and Virgin of Guadalupe are the same person.
The names for Mary depend on where she appear. For example:
Our Lady of Fatima (pron. IPA ['fa.ti.mɐ]) is the title given to the Virgin Mary by Catholics and others who believe that she appeared monthly, for several months, to three shepherd children at Fátima, Portugal, in 1917

The virgin of Guadalupe appeared to an Indian as a brown skinned virgin Mary in the place of the old goddess temple of the Aztecs that had been destroyed by the Spaniards. She produced Roses out of season, which is considered the miracle of the virgin of Guadalupe. Personally, I think the story was contrived by the catholic church to make the conversion of the Indians easier. She appears as a brown skinned woman, to an Indian. The other Indians, would be more willing to accept this virgin Mary than the one that the Spaniards were trying to sell them. They built a church in place of the old goddess temple and dedicated it to the virgin of Guadalupe.

virgin mary is jesus' mother. virgin of guadalupe is the mother goddess, the counterpart of father god. he is intellect and she is emotion but most people don't know that because religion turned patriarchial long ago. virgin of guadalupe made her appearance in mexico in the city of guadalupe so they built her church there and named her after that. she has made her appearances in other countries with different appearances; in fatima, lourdes. She is also known as azra in other countries. she makes her appearance as any race, sometimes black, caucasian, hispanic (like she looked in mexico), etc. she makes her appearances around the world so that you could know her and pray to her as well as God. she is all the same person pretty much in all these countries she makes an appearance in!! so in conclusion she wasn't a person at one point she is an apparation people have witnessed meanwhile virgin mary was real since she gave birth to jesus.

The Blessed Mother of God formed the Nation of Mexico through her apparition as 'Virgin of Guadalupe' in 1532 A.D. She ended the practice of human sacrifice and converted 9 million souls to the True Faith in several short years.
We know this is true because it is proclaimed by the Catholic Church. PTL!

Same person.
The Virgin Mary appeared to a man named Juan Diego, who was hurrying down Tepeyac hill to hear Mass in Mexico City, on Saturday, 9 December, 1531. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared and sent him to Bishop Zumárraga to have a church built where she stood. She was at the same place that evening and Sunday evening to get the bishop's answer. The Bishop had not immediately believed the messenger; having cross-questioned him and had him watched, he finally told him to go back to the Virgin Mary and ask for proof that the lady REALLY was who said she was, namely the mother of the true God. Juan Diego agreed so readily to ask any sign desired, that the bishop was impressed and left the sign to the apparition. Juan was occupied all Monday with Bernardino, an uncle, who seemed dying of fever. Indian medicine failed; so at daybreak on Tuesday, 12 December, Juan Diego was running to the St. James's convent for a priest. To avoid the place where he had run into Mary , he slipped round where the well chapel now stands. But the Blessed Virgin crossed down to meet him and said: "What road is this thou takest son?" They talked. Reassuring Juan about his uncle whom at that instant she cured, she appearing to him also and called herself Holy Mary of Guadalupe, and she told Juan go again to the bishop. Without hesitating Juan joyously asked for the sign the bishop wanted. She told him to go up to the rocks and gather roses. He knew it was neither the time nor the place for roses, (DECEMBER, duh!) but he went and found them! Gathering many into the lap of his tilma (a long cloak used by Mexican Indians) he came back. The Holy Mother, rearranging the roses, bade him keep them untouched and unseen till he reached the bishop. Having got to the presence of the bishop Juan unfolded his cloak. The roses fell out, and Juan was startled to see the bishop and his attendants kneeling before him: the life size figure of the Virgin Mother, just as he had described her, was glowing on the poor tilma. A great mural decoration in the renovated basilica commemorates the scene. The picture was venerated, guarded in the bishop's chapel, and soon after carried processionally to the preliminary shrine.
That is the same picture you see reproduced as the Virgin of Guadalupe.
