well first of all what kind of drugs are you talking about? is it weed? or is it crack, or heroin? IF it is weed i would say he is maybe more likely to quit if he really likes you a lot BUT only if HE wants to quit. If its more serious drugs then defiantly DO NOT go with him, he is dragging himself down a bad road and you don't want to go down it with him. However if you are not into that type of thing, being in a relationship with someone who is, more then likely is not going to work out. Your going to argue, and your going to spend your time trying to either change him or trying to deal with the fact that you cant. I would say that you should tell him you like him and tell him that you don't like that he does drugs, stay friends for a while, and MAKE SURE he stops ALL drugs no matter what kind, BEFORE you take the friendship to the next level.

Eh, if you're not the type to want to even try drugs then you're certainly not the type to be dealing with a drug user. Now, that's not to say that all drug users are bad horrible people or even that they are unsucessful in life because many are quite educated and sucessful, I'm just saying that someone who is afraid of drugs is not a good match for someone who likes to experiment especially since it'll just become an issue in your relationship which will annoy him and hurt you. You also didn't specify which drugs he was into, but if it's more than just pot and some psychedelics, you'd have to worry about the possibility that he'll become an addict and really, unless you love the guy, you don't want to get involved with that on a personal level.

Definitely tell him. If you don't he will think it is ok with you that he does drugs and eventually it will come to the point that he expects you to join him. Tell him you are against taking drugs and that you won't date him if he continues to do them. I don't know how old you are, but there are other guys out there who don't do drugs (and are cute). Don't put a lot of effort into this one if he refuses to consider your convictions.

If you're completley against the use of drugs than it is obvious that this guy isn't for you because, you don't want to risk being exposed to that sort of thing, or worse being drawn in this guy obviously isn't for you. There are plenty drug-free guys out there, and not to be rude you can obviously do better.

drugs lead to abuse of them and to violence eventually on to you./Not tomention the arrests that may come eventually when someone does a mind altering thing on a dialy basis its because they cant handle what is really going on in their life.. simple but sad then before they know it they are in a rut do you want that kind of future to eb dragged down and be humiliated in time or hurt? so cute is cute but cute can be deadly costly ever think he may cheat as well if he does dope why not cheat and then if he is so out of it high etc he may not care to protect himself and get aids hers another drama.. the jobs come and go the money the family issues etc the list is looooooong!

I'd stay away. Doing a lot of drugs sounds like an addict and you don't want to get into all that.

Honesty is the best policy. If your heartfelt comments mean anything he will take them serious, and if not, well, there's your answer. You cannot fix anyone - it is he that has to do it for himself. Be strong and know that this lifestyle only gets worse ... not better. Respect yourself and be accountable. That is the best gift you can give him and yourself. Good luck!
