Well, one way to tell the difference between gas bubbles and fetal movement is to sit quietly or lie down and just breathe slowly until you feel the sensation of movement that you have described. Then you just have to think about what it feels like. Does it feel like gurgling or sloshing? Slight popping noises and feelings are normal digestive occurences. However, if it feels more like feathery, fluttery movements, and if comes fairly regularly, then that seems to indicate fetal movement...
Try lying on your back or propped on a couple of pillows. Place a hand on your lower abdomen. Then take a deep breath, extending your lower abdomen, and let the breath out. Often during pregnancy, these exercises stimulate a fetus into moving about. It can feel like flutters or even like being poked on the outside.
Either way, see your doctor and take a pregnancy test, just to be sure.
Well, I hoped this helped. Good luck.

Extreme gas! Had it real bad after my c-section! It felt like the bad was back inside me!
Another possibility, muscle spasms. Some people have problems with these and they can hit anywhere in the body. Mine hit mostly in my legs, back, and legs. But recently I've had in my stomach & ribs, my throat, and in my arms.
I suggest seeing your doctor.... Something is going on and you need to find out what and keep an eye on it. AND have the pg test done....Make sure you don't have a visitor! lol.....
GOod luck to ya!

Only gas and pregnancy that I can think of. But if your feeling movement often and you don't think it's gas or pregnancy...you should see a doctor.

Yup...There are too many to name. The most common however being good old fashioned flatulence! Or the need for it anyway.
Try farting!
Lay on your back and bring your knees up to your chest. Roll your body back and forth from side to side. Then turn over and lay on your stomach and bring your head and feet upward toward the sky.
If that doesn't make you fart... You need more fiber!

Peristalsis is the muscular contractions of the intestinal tract that keep the contents moving and can be more active, in some, than others.

Maybe some type of abdominal infection... it could just be an alien though, lol. Seriously, I would get it checked out if it persists. Good luck.
