Please respond to these:
1) The Bible wasn't written in English. References to homosexuality can likely be attributed to the nature of the society in which they were written. In the case of the OT, the Egyptian worship of gods through sodomy and in the case of the NT, the dehumanization of boys for sexual gratification.
2) Is it worth getting all worked up and kicking people out of church positions because they live and love in a lifestyle that is different from ours? I think that's what many churches did in the 40's with interracial relationships among church members. It didn't work out well for them.
3) Should we be more concerned with homosexuals among us living "sinfully" or those among us who haven't found the perfect peace and hope that is God?
4) Did Jesus ever discuss homosexuality? Nope. Did Paul? Yes. But wait... Paul never met Jesus. He only saw Him in a vision, so is it really fair to associate Paul's writings with Christ's beliefs and practices? Englighten me, O Gentiles!

I have no problem with homosexuality. There is nothing wrong with it. 1) You are correct. The Bible was written in Greek and there is not a SINGLE translation that is correct. No one can quite agree on all the words. 2) No, it is not worth kicking people out of church. Church is a place for all of God's children to come together. A home away from home. It should be all love and acceptance. 3) I do not believe that we should force religion upon people, but religious people should take the focus off of how 'horrible' homosexuality is. There is, once again, nothing wrong with it. 4) I have long believed that Paul was, in fact, gay himself. He hated it within himself and condemned it in society. If he abolished this, he would no longer be tempted. Interesting theory, one I plan to build upon. Jesus never once mentioned homosexuality. But he did mention love - the love of thy neighbor as thyself.

God created man and women, and to procreate, to fill the earth.

Jesus, in his teaching, echoing such teaching, that a man shall leave his parent, and be united with his wife.

In marriage, the 2 shall be one flesh.

In all these bibilical positions, where do Gay/Homosexual stands? No where?

So, why did in to the teaching of Jesus?

1) It is wrong to relate the teaching to Egyption experience by the Isralite. Homosexual as a sin link all the way to the principle of creation.
If you do not believe in God, nor the bible, there is nothing to discuss. Do as you deem pleased.

Israelite were promised to be a stong nation, as part of Abramic promises. Tell me, how can the practises of Homosexual helped to fulfill this promises? Would it be contary to the promises by God?

If your dad tells you, go study hard, I will get you a bicycle, but you do any other things but study, will u ever get a bicycle? Will your dad just leave you alone without a bicycle? No. A good dad will punished that child, for he has been obedient.

So, in the same manner, practices of Homosexual, not just able to procreate, but will bring sickness and death to the camp. (remember, in those days, they lives in tents and were on the constant move. Hygiene is bad. And no condom). How can Homosexual be something allow in that society?

2) If the leaders who suppose to uphold the teaching of the Word, and preserve the truth continue to live in the life of sin, how can he be one?

Will you allow your managers to continue to come late to work, surf internet while working, and flirt in the office during office hour? No. Manages are to set standard, and if they don't, out they go. So are those who practise Homosexual.

3. Yes we should be concern about the unchurch, but we should also be concern that when the unchurch come, they do not die in sin of Homosexual. Clear?

Why put in effort to get the unchurch to the Lord, and allow them to practice Homosexual, and at the end, they die in Hell!

Just like the company, sales and marketing is the most important. But if HR, Account, Logistic, manufacturing department all are wasting the resouces, the net profit will always be negative. Any good business man will always look into internal system to plug all holes that will drip dry the sales pour in.

4) Well. . . I have touch that issue. By the way, if one removed the pauline teaching, half the teaching of New T is removed. Might as well you write your own bible, call it your own name, and start your own religion.

If you do not accept the books written by St Paul, that is fine, go write your own word of god(s).

Clear?

Homosexuality is fun. Why do you think it got the nick name of "GAY".
1) The bible was not written by God. No other explanation needed, it is a work of fiction. (also very outdated)
2) You can't reason with the ritious...until it one of their own sons or daughters. Use Cheney as an example.
3) We should be concerned to live in a country that is responsible for the invasion and deaths of thousands of lives. We should be concerned of the implications concerning our world, global warming, a spreading of westernization and the lack of natural resources to sustain it, we should be concerned about the human beings dying in Africa. We should be very concerned that our government is out of control. Homosexuals are the last thing we should be concerned about.
4) Jesus, quite possibly, was gay himself. Why do you think he was so amazing?

PS- FYI- Gentiles are the "non believers"

1) The Levitical laws are very clear. It was considered sexually immoral to have relations with the same sex just as much as it was considered immoral to have relations with a beast or a parent. There is no translation problem, it is very clear.

2) The Bible repeatedly says that there is no Jew or Gentile and that all are equal. The only distinction made is between righteous and wicked.

3) Yes it is right to be more concerned about immoral people inside the church instead of "lost" people outside, because Christians are called to live moral and righteous lives, not to indulge in sin and use their faith as a "get out of jail free card". Christians should be concerned about other Christians who indulge in sin.

"I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people - not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. 'Expel the wicked man from among you." 1st Corinthians 5:9

"Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God." 1st Peter 2:16

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean" Matthew 23:25

4) He doesn't mention homosexuality by name because that word had not originated yet, but he does say, "No good tree bears bad fruit" and since homosexuality is very bad fruit. As to your jab at Paul.... "But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name" Acts 9:15....... If I could have a calling like that, I would consider myself lucky. Paul was the most educated author of the entire New Testament, and perhaps more than Solomon, and Paul functions as a good theologian for us whereas fishermen do not make the greatest theologians.

I haven't found anything in the bible that explicitly states homosexuality is a sin. There are some terms that people interpret as meaning homosexuality but nothing explicit.

...The text is not culturally bound as you suggest.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is inspired by God (God-breathed) and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." That is the standard for right living
...Homosexuals are not a race; they are defined by their sexual activity. It is a lifestyle choice, as is adultery and fornication. One does not have to do it.
...If you live in the US as I do, you are free to follow any kind of a Gospel you want and accept any kind of behavior you wish, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, and follow His word. It does make a difference - disobedience to God's word is sin, and that is serious business to God.
...Look at this passage and decide for yourself re: homosexuality as a lifestyle. It is 1 Corinthians 6
...9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
...10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
...11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
(The good news here is that sin can be forgiven - "and such were some of you.")
...Jesus considered the Old Testament authoritative. The Bible is one cohesive whole - not a bunch of books for you to pick and choose and dismiss the things you find unpalatable to your belief system.
...Perhaps you would tell us how you arrive at truth, and how you develop your convictions..........

The issue is not nearly so much with orientation as it is with overt sexuality which is forbidden to all those not married.

The Bible specifically refers to marriage as between a man and a woman for the purposes of becoming one and propgation of offspring.

God's order to man was to be fruitful and multiply.

This does not make orientation wrong, but it does present issues for the concept of marriage and the religious scantification of unions.

Those who remain celebate should have no real problems. Those, if any, who are predestined by God should have no problems.

Those who are not and do so from free will have problems, be they hetero or homosexual.

As I've said on here before, Jesus never said it was a sin to be a serial rapist. So I guess as long as Jesus Himself never condemned it, it must be okay.
The racial issue and the homosexual are not the same. Never have been, never will be.
Zero cool is right. Your speech is falling on deaf ears. And anything I post about what I believe, will fall on HER deaf ears. Why do we even come on here to begin with?

That is not a sin I struggle with, but I do struggle with my own types of sins. God knows the sinful natures that I have, as He surely knows yours. He loves me and He surely loves you. In my personal relationship with Our Father I talk with Him and work towards His Reward. My sins are different from yours but we are much the same in the eyes of Our Father.
