If you owe any property taxes when you close, they will be paid at the closing. Since the closing is in February and the taxes aren't due until March, they will be figured into the closing documents, with the tax bill being pro-rated between the buyer and the seller.

You can still close on the house without any problem from the taxes due in March. But if you do decide to pay, give the proof to the realtor or closing agent before the closing. You will be refunded taxes from the date of closing until the due date of the taxes.

Property taxes will be in the closing fees - it is the law.

you have to pay the taxes BEFORE you sell and DO NOT WAIT any longer your tax bill goes up each month you do not pay.
