boyfriend issue.?

my boyfriend and i have been dating for 10 months now. he told me he was unhappy and wanted to break up but i told him that we should take a break instead. (he was unhappy because i was aswell. i would ***** alot. it's a long story but things have changed about myself being unhappy. i got a car and go to school.) anyways. my question is: how long should i wait before i break up with him? i understand i need to give him time to breathe and think. how long is enough? a week? a month? like lets say if by this wednesday he still hasnt figured out what he wants should i call him and end it or should i wait longer

well it sounds like he was unhappy too, so u wont let him down too bad. But if u really dont want to be with him, end it. i guess wednesday wud be fine. sure he mite be hurt, but dont hold him down longer if u dont want him anymore.

I don't understand, seems like something is missing. You said he wanted to break up with you and then you ask how long should you wait before you break up with him.???????WHAT?
It sounds like you both want the same thing. You are both unhappy with the relationship. Just tell him you thought about it and you agree that it's over, and both move on.

If he is worth holding onto, if you love him, if you see him in your future, then wait as long as he needs & never let him go... If he's a d*ck about it, and you'd rather find someone else then waist your time waiting for him to make up his mind, then wait a couple of weeks, then break it off. But before you do anything, think long and hard about everything... You could change a life forever.

if he sed in the first place that he was unhappy and wanted to break up, i would probably think the sooner, the better. if this isnt what either of you want, why wait? itll be a relief once he knows how u feel instead of stressing over it for longer.
