go to the police dept. and tell them you are considering hiring the person for child care and they will be more than happy to give it to you.

Court records are generally available at the clerks office of the
court that heard the case. Juvenile records are usually sealed, but in whatever the case a FOIA request can be made and the records be made available under the Freedom of Information Act.
