What do I call her?

I have been keeping in contact with a teacher I've had in the past. I have been addressing her as Mrs. _________ and in her last e-mail she signed with her first name. Should I continue to say Mrs. or should I call her by her first name?

I'm a teacher and when I speak to past students I sign off with my first name because that's what I want to be called. Otherwise I'd write Ms.____. Just ask her if you're not sure. One of my ex-students asked me that and I wasn't offended at all :)

Continue to call her Mrs._________ unless she tells you otherwise. But even then it will be strange to call her by her first name because you have always saw her as an authority figure.

My old band director keeps telling everyone, all his students that he has had, to call him by his first name, but it seems weird to call him that. I always call him Mr.______ because i still see him as my old band director, and its been over 8 years since i had him, and he has since now retired. In fact, he works part-time with my mother,and i worked there one summer, and i still called him Mr.______.

continue calling her by Mrs._______, because she probably had an automatic signature or just made a mistake and used her first name. If she corrects you later, then I say use her first name.
