This is a pretty understandable concern. The product is safe, it won't hurt you. But yes it could dry your skin out and irritate it.
Most people use the Oxy pads because they "feel it working" because it burns...that's not really a good thing. Most alcohol based skin care products tend to overwork your skin and dry out the natural necessary oils in your skin.
Not only is it drying your skin, your skin will in time become immune to the chemicals in it and it will just stop working.
It won't worsen your pimples in the sense that it will make more, but the alcohol in the oxy pads may make them appear more red.
Pimples spread whenever they are opened and the bacteria spreads to another area of the skin and makes another pimple. The alcohol in the oxy pads will kill that bacteria for a limited amount of time until they grow immune to it.
The best thing to do is to find a toner without a lot of alcohol in it. They have great toners at Origins and they are very specific to individual problems like dry skin, or oily skin.
You want to look for a toner or cleaning pad with a lot of rosemary water in it, because that will cleanse the skin without irritating it. Since rosemary oil is plant based and not chemically based your skin won't grow immune to it.
I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!

I use the cleansing pads on my body only, not for the skin on my face. If you're worried about breakouts, use Clearasil or Oxy face cleanser, or whatever your choice, but not just plain soap please, lol. I've recently started using Biore triple action astringent and really like it, but above all you need to find a good moisturizer to use. Even if you use a product that does dry your skin, a moisturizer will do nothing but help you out. I have one that treats acne also, it's made by Neutrogena. Look around and you can find some great products that will keep your skin looking good.

That stuff is way too harsh on the skin. Putting harsh chemicals on your skin is not only potentially dangerous to your health (check out the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep website and you can check exactly how dangerous the ingredients in most anti-acne and other 'big brand" skin care products actually are - I've listed the website for you below), but it will only irritate your skin and yes, probably make the acne worse.
I recommend trying out a 100% natural brand (chemical-free), such as Aubrey Organics, Suki or Terressentials. I've had success with the Aubrey Organics facial care line for oily skin but have yet to try the other two brands I mentioned.
Good luck. I know how it is to have to struggle with acne.
P.S. Aubrey Organics is available at all Whole Foods Markets and just about any natural stores, as well as Suki. Terressentials is harder to find at stores but on their website you can check if any stores in your area carries Terressentials. All three have the option to order online.

Anyone looking for a quick fix solution to acne, for a “magic bullet”, acne pills, ‘acne freedom in 3 days’ hyped up programs is looking to be told fairy-tales. Also, don't ever take the Proactive route, it's just a temporary solution and in time it will make your acne worse.
To permanently get rid of acne you should fix the internal problem that’s causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms. Read Mike Walden's "Acne No More - Open The Door To An Acne Free Life." ( here is the electronic format PDF http://www.mikewalden.net ). This is a permanent solution to acne and it helped over 130.000 people get rid of their acne for good.
Stop paying paying each month good money on drugs, creams and oils. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

Hey,
My friend used the oxy face wash and it really damaged her face and caused her face to swell. I think she also used oxy cleaning pads, but not the really harsh kind and it dried her face out. So I wouldn't recommend them. She has now started using Acne Free and she looks great. So I would suggest that! lol :P
Good Luck! ;)

My hubby used them long time ago when we were in school. It cleared up his acne.So i am thinking id does, but then again everyone has different reactions to everything.Since you got it go ahead and use it for at least 2 weeks,or till you think you are getting results..if not ,then discontinue and find something else.Maybe proActive.Use a moisturizer always.

If you have sensitive skin, then don't use it. This product is too strong for sensitive skin. It works. And it does dry the skin. So use a moisturizer.

I use them and they work really well but I always put cream on after so that they don't make my skin overly dry.
