I am a 17 year old boy and I don't really have a hair style. I just left my hair out kind of long. The hair is going over my ears a bit now. I want a Korean/Japanese look to me. How can I do this? Do those people comb their hair? It just looks like they woke up like that lol. Is there anything I can do to my hair or should I just leave it growing naturally?
Thank you!

hyunbin hair is great. you can get the haircut if you like it. girls like it too. you will look more like a korean if you get this hairstyle. http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/9835/leewan8vr.jpg
show the hairstylist a picture of the hairstyle you want. use your phone to take the pic, it will be more convenient. dont ever discribe the hairstyle to the hairstylist. they are visual.you have to show them what you want. With photos your stylist will be able to assess how suitable the cut you like is for your hair, your face shape and lifestyle. They can also suggest alternatives if it's not the perfect cut for you.
good luck =)

If you just left it growing you'd benefit from some layering. I guess I have the kind of hair you're talking about, it does fall in place just like that, it's not like we're born that way, it's the cut, and no there is no combing really, but you probably will want to use a hair dryer.

Anyway, basically what layering is going to do is making the hair sitting on top of the other hairs shorter, so you keep the same shape but it's less heavy. I recommend going to a stylist, unless you want to talk to me about doing it yourself. Just make sure the stylist understands you don't want them to cut your hair short, you want them to keep the length but layer it. You should probably go to a Japanese hair stylist or a Korean one that actually knows about the styles you are thinking of.

You can have that style why not, this is what we called an out of bed look. The hair has been thinned out and all you have to do is find the right product that could help your hair to hold. You can use molding potty, wax or gel, to style it.

You'll have to click on a link on the left-hand column.... there's a grouping of 5 links with a orange 'n' next to them. Click on the 4th link for men's cuts.
