I have been single for over a year without any dates, but its not that I haven't been asked. I used to like tons of guys and now I like no one and havent for about a year. I seem to always find faults..because they just dont meet my standards. They arent high standards though, i just want to find a classy guy with ambitions. All my friends seem to have boyfriends..and i feel like something is wrong with me because I can't even LIKE someone. What's my deal?

i don't know about other guys' reactions to your moderate standards but they seem why too high for the likes of me. you want a classy guy, which are damn hard to find. i work with a lot of guys and i wouldn't call one classy. i am not classy. just run of the mill, trying to keep my nose clean. my saying is that the nail that sticks up gets hammered down. i just really believe that. you want a guy with ambitions, just the kind of guy trying to move up. and that is just the kind of guy that is targeted. a few slips through and most get shot down before the move up. ambition has risk. big risk. you are in denial and you have nearly no understanding of who you really are. get a top-notch counselor. a really tough one who will challenge you. you know how to do your job and exist. you don't know men and you don't even know your own real desires and ambitions. but you could be a good one. sound pretty damn smart. just too young or something. wise up and have a wonderful life. don't expect prince charming. stop dreaming and get real. it is painful to put the childlike lessons behind. get real. just a normal, okay guy. you demand more that you can admit. lot ofpeople like that. you can just wait until the magic happens. or not.

It's good to hear that you want a guy that is ambitious and that you have high standards. This just tells them that you do not want just anyone that asks you out. You want that special guy who will treat you well and that is very important.Sometimes this does not happen immediately. The only reason you can't like someone is because the right one hasn't come along yet.
Be patient, , your turn will come. Hope it's soon.

Sometimes you just have to look behind the faults and go on a date, even if u dont like the guy. He may seem boring, but who knows you may go out with him and hes really funny. You just never know about ppl, focus on thir good qualities. Maybe the boyfriend you want is right where you wouldnt look. Best of luck

Don't worry about it!!! Good for you for not settling just because everyone else is hooked up! Keep your chin up and if you're happy by yourself for right now, then cool. When you do meet someone that fits your standards, it'll be that much better.

You just have standards and there is nothing wrong with that. The right guy will come along when its time and you might even surprise yourself.

omg me and you both! i feel the EXACT same way! i just really dont understand what my problem is! but something tells me we are just too picky i think...and i dont know about u but even though i really could care less about what other people thought sometimes it gets to me like if my friend is like ugh u like him..it effects me in a way. I think we should just say whatever and just stop looking for a guy or worring about them for a while and soon enough they will come to us...

Maybe before you even know the guy you're already writing them off.
Give them a chance! Get to know them and be patient.
And everyone has faults, you'll just have to get over them. You're not perfect either right?
