I got some bad news in my mailbox...
Just not sure if this will turn into a pattern, although this school was pretty competitive and this year's class is the largest ever.
Any words of motivation for me? thanks ;-)

I didn't take it too seriously. Turned out I was glad that I was rejected from my first choice college because if I did I wouldn't have eve gone to the school I go to know. The best education, location, life I can't have ever imagined. See really first 2 years of where you go to college is not really that important. Last two year and the final diploma are.. for ex. My sister studied in Penn State first and transfered to NYU so her NYU Diploma is all the employer will see...and all you/your friends/family will see hanging in your house :p. Also if you are thinking about graduate school...then save money now by going to a decent undergraduate school and then apply to a really good graduate school. Hope this helps.

When I got rejected by my top school I cried for a night and then I moved on. I'll apply to other schools, I can do this, that was my mantra for 2 months until I got accepted. And by then I knew that even if I got rejected, I had a plan, community college until a University took me. That's what I decided and that kept me going.

Community college was my plan "A", so I don't know what rejection feels like. It was my plan "A" because I knew that I could get several classes out of the way for a lot less money...less than $1000 per semester.

I never applied early, but when I got my first rejection, and then my second, I knew I had five more to hear from - and they all took me.

Just realize that any school that rejects you has missed its own opportunity.

Good luck!
