Grapefruit juice contains chemicals that can cause problems with enzymes that break down certain types of medicines in your intestines. When a medicine does not get broken down properly in the intestines, you can end up with too much medicine in your blood. Having too much medicine in your blood increases your chances of having serious side effects

Grapefruit juice can sometimes decrease the strength of the medication you are taking; in some cases it can potentiate or make it stronger.
I wouldn't take any medication with grapefruit juice. Ask your doctor about possible juice-drug interactions.

One of the medications I take for high blood pressure shouldn't be taken with grapefruit juice, but other citrus fruits are OK. My pharmacist explained that it causes your liver to secrete an enzyme that makes the medication ineffective.

I know with certain cholesterol medications, grapefruit and the juice too, I believe, will cause your blood to thin. I guess that is dangerous.

.. chemicals in grapefruit interfere with enzymes that break down certain drugs in your digestive system. This can result in abnormally high blood levels of these drugs and an increased risk of serious side effects.

Just check with your doctor...it could have side effects...never stop cold ever taking meds...It will lead to panic attacks.
Also anxiety.
Continue with meds, if you have started, it can take over 2 weeks, for them to start to work...
If you wish to take anything....! always check with someone who knows, esp dealing as I say with your meds.
