Differently: Be more strict; not be afraid my kids won't "like me" if I say no; religious structure.

Same: Educational outings to theatre, museums, arts, foods, places of interest, reading.

I would raise him in the church and teach him to be the best pastor that he could ever be. I would teach him the way of the word and that all things are done by faith in the Lord. I have led and taught many about the word and have not had any children yet because i am still finishing school and talking care of my family

I remember how much of a picky eater I was and how much grief this caused my parents. My children are going to be raised on fried grasshoppers, sushi, escargots, head cheese, wasabi and durians as soon as they can eat solid food. They will also have to wear black spikey clothes and listen to loud, angry music all day so that when they become teens they will all become lawyers and accountants as an act of rebellion.

That is, if Child Services doesn't get their hands on them first.

I will never let my children act as disrespectful and bratty as my younger brother did. I -will- spank my children because I believe there are some things that "time out" cannot fix. Occasionally you have to get a child's attention and feelings are all they understand at a young age. You can't really set them down and speak reason to them. I'll also allow them to watch things that my mother didn't allow me to watch, but I will be a little more strict when it comes to things like allowance and money.

Well I'm going to tell them the truth about the world and present only facts and valid scientific theories to them. Therefore I will not be teaching them any religion. I will tell them that some people believe an invisible man in the sky made them and everything else and he watches every moment and if you do anything he doesn't like he'll send you into a pit of hell for eternity yet he still claims he loves you.

And then I'll tell them that reasonable people believe in science and logic and none of that superstitious stuff.

I will be more...hmmm how should I word it...enthusiastic about my child's(especially in its teenage years) developing thoughts and concepts about life. Especially in the religion/spirituality area.
My mother is kind of...critical...about my thoughts and ideas, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but not necessarily encouraging either...

home school
breast feed
co-sleep
expose them to different schools of religious and non-religious thought

not much different from my mom, but fairly different from my dad (who dislikes gays, was something of a totalitarian, and told racist jokes in my presence.)
