an animal eats when its body tells it that it needs to and has sex when its body tells it to. a human eats when their body says to and has sex when their body tells them to. what is the difference? why is it a sin for man to have sex, but not to eat?

ok, sex outsided of marriage then lol. why is it a sin for man to act on carnal instinct but not a sin to act on hunger?

SEX is necessary for the species to exist, just as food is. there is no reason why extramartital sex is a sin when eating is not a sin, both are done out of a physical need.

GABOUND, just because you cannot get laid doesn't negate the fact that if you could you would. you only do it because your body tells you to.

MY OPINION, i think we SHOULD act on all our instincts!!! instinct tells us to eat when we can, society invites us to eat untill we can't fit anything more in our bodies and thus we get fat. sex is instinctual and just as hunger is not a sin, neither should sexual desires be.

the difference is abstract thought. We have the ability to contemplate our purpose.

Since I do not think it is a sin for people to have sex, I can not give you an answer to your last question

The difference between humans and animals is that humans have the ability to 'reason'. Animals have sex and eat out of instinct where are as humans we use reason to know that we have to eat to stay alive and sex for pro-creation or just as a form of pleasure. It is not a sin for a man to have sex, it is a biological need.

As for why we cannot act on 'carnal instinct' ... we have to show restraint. Imagine if we lived life acting on all our instincts. It requires the agreement of two people to have sex but you are responsible yourself for your eating habits. As for eating, we don't eat whenever and whatever we want (most of us) either. We can't do whatever we want, society would crash.

I only have one problem with your question/comment:

"and has sex when their body tells them to"

I wish it were that easy! I wish I COULD get sex whenever I wanted it! Perhaps you were referring to masturbation? But even then that won't be the case in all situations.

But you're wrong there. I can fix a bowl of Frosted Flakes quite readily, but the booty isn't always an easy catch. I think the animals are getting it more than me. :-)

The other difference: brain power - is what separates us

Humans ARE animals. We have animal cells. We consume, and produce energy. Every animal's is good at something. We are good at thinking, cheeteh's are good at sprinting, and eagles are good at flying. All creatures share 99% the same DNA, us included.

As for the sin side of things, I can't help you there. I've never understood the whole sin thing. I like to decide what is right and what is wrong for me, not someone else.

Differences between humans and animals:
ANIMALS eat, sleep, mate and defend.
HUMANS eat, sleep, mate, defend and think. Of all the living entities that inhabit these material universes, humans are the only ones who can think and therefore enquire about the GOAL OF LIFE.

MIND...but nowadays more people looks like animal... so i bet there's no much difference...if the people act like an animal... they have sex with many partners as they wish... they eat too much and no rules in their life... they follow their own rule.. not the God's rule...

for one, man was made in God's own image and animals were not. also man has (or should have) an emotional tie to sex. its a binding of a man and a woman. most animals use sex primarily for reproduction.

I think the most basic answer is this. Food is a necessity to live, sex is not.

And in the end, we may be animals, but we probably have much more complex thoughts, thanks to that good old frontal lobe!
