Okay so a police roll by my house and was checking up on my brother rite. Then they started to ask me question like my name and birthday because I was kind of rude to them. When they ask me for my name, do I have to answer them? I have some bad record and I don't want to tell them my name. I mean....What can they do to me if I just don't say anything and they keep asking me question... Am I suppose to answer them?!?!?

Well anyways, I just act like I don't speak any english so the cop left me along hehe...

Though you could plead the 5th then they can't "get" anything from you, I won't recommend it since they can just take you in anyways and jail time follows, especially if you are so reluctant to tell them something as simple as your name.
Not talking to the police on site would make them suspicious, anyways. You should know better to not do anything wrong then you would have nothing to be afraid of.
Hopefully you guys would soon become responsible and honest citizens that can impact society in a positive way than being afraid of the police. One saying, "If you are afraid of going to jail for something you did, then you probably deserve to go to jail."

Most localities have a charge called failure to identify to a police (or peace) officer, or another charge that is called providing false identification to a police (or peace) officer.

If that locality has that charge then the officer can either issue a citation or arrest, depending upon several variables. Acting like you don't speak English will only work until a bilingual officer arrives or the English only speaking officer arranges for an interpreter.

First of all you need to learn to speak and spell. Maybe you and your brother need someone to check up on you so that you both mature into responsible adults. Being rude for no reason just makes you a jerk. And BTW the police can take you to jail for being belligerent if they want.

That's the right way to get along in this country. Well, Mr. Obvious, the police will know you got something to hide. Sounds like you'll be in jail soon anyway with your attitude- it won't matter if you tell them your name or not....

Unfortunately my friend, it can happen in a police state. You are free, as long as you do what you are told. Lucky for most of us, most policeman and law enforcement people are still doing an honest job.

If you don't answer them, that can be considered as Obstructing an Officer, which sometimes is a Felony. It is better to answer.
