To Ted's answer --If the kid is 13 they are in 6th or 7th grade - 1st grade starts in different states at either age 6 or age 7.

As for the real question - Older people fail to realize teens or children entering their teens start gaining affections or crushes on the opposite sex. Yes, as the other answers say, other lovers will come and go, if this is your first 'crush' it may feel like your hardest to let go, so all the answers may be right in a way. Step back and wait, bury your feelings a while. It'll be hard but around your age everyone's body is going through changes, growth splurts, etc. If like within a year - or whatever gap of time you wish to challenge your will power - you have not found your feelings changed or another guy has replaced your interest, then try asking again. Meanwhile, enjoy life, be yourself and don't allow a 'crush' to become a hard emotional 'crutch'. You don't need a relationship in order to fit in or nothing, keep it real. Hopefully my answer helps with your handling the situation without dictating to you anything outside of your expectations. Not everyone can give answers by putting themselves in your shoes, cos no one knows you better than yourself. Best of luck to you!

Firstly, you should NEVER tell a boy that you like him first. Always let the boy do the chasing and let you know that he has interest in you first. Try and just be a good friend to him and allow him to see the great girl that you are - then perhaps it may turn into something romantic if it is meant to be.

On the other hand, it is not wrong to like a 7th grader if you are a 6th grader

wait until you grow up. The girl next door is 14 and yesterday she found out she was pregnant. Game over. Grow up first, and by the time you do, the boys will taller than you and you won't have to worry about it.

Definately not wrong! Girls grow-up sooner than guys so its pretty normal to be taller. That kid sounds like a jerk, though. I'd say even though there's nothing wrong with liking younger guys, you need someone more mature.

Oh man...that is such a bummer!! I have to be honest and tell you that no matter what anyone says, you will not really listen. You are going through yucky normal stuff....but let me tell you that when you are in 12th grade and he is in 11th.....he is gonna kick himself that he let you get away!

He said you're too tall? Sorry, but what you have there is an all too typical, as yet immature boy. Give him a few years!
