My wife is taking robaxin for a muscle relaxer should she be taking oxycodone also for pain??????

I do. I have severe degenerative disc disease & spinal arthritis. I take a muscle relaxant & either Vicodin or Percocet right along with it. Sometimes I even add Ultram to this cocktail. All of course is done with my physician's knowledge.

Yes, its ok if that what the doctor has ordered. The muscle relaxer is just that, it relaxes the muscle it may help with the pain but does not remove pain. Thats where the pain meds come into play. I have been on muscle relaxers and pain meds for years.

Her physician is the only one who can answer this but it would seem that she would be taking a pain medication along with the muscle relaxant.

Oxycodone is something that you really want to read about before even considering - took me down a horrible road... just recommend researching it... #1 result - Addiction..
