It depends on the individual person. It if it very noticeable and you don't like it try applying pure Vitamin E oil. Research has shown that it lessens the appearance of scares. It worked for me on a large abdominal surgical scare and now it is barely visible. Pure Vitamin E oil will cost about $6-8 for a small bottle. Just apply a thin covering with a Q-tip and the bottle will last you quite a long time. If you want to try more conventional methods to remove a scar, speak with a plastic surgeon and see if they can recommend something else. But, I would try Vitamin E oil first. Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

It probably will be, although how noticeable it is depends on how big the hole actually is, where on the nare it is located, and if it heals closed. I imagine you could camoflauge it with makeup, and since most piercings of the nose are more to the side of the nare close to the natural curvature, I suspect it will not be all that noticeable to the casual observer. But facial scars are unpredictable things, and how bad it actually looks is in your eyes, not anyone elses. If you scar badly, forming keloids, then it will not be as smooth a scar as somebody who doesn't. The longer you have had the piercing, the greater the likelyhood it may not heal closed and you would want to consult a dermatologist or even a plastic surgeon to see what suggestions they have. If it is a fairly recent piercing, it will heal closed quicker and with less likelyhood of leaving a large scar behind. For better healing, you can always rub cocoa butter or vitamin E oil into the site to encourage a smoother skin scar. But yes, you will likely always have some sort of scar left behind.

I got my nose pierced in 1995, wore a ring for about 8 or so months, got bored with it and took it out, the scar is still there, but not that noticable unless you look really close.

Every one I ever had eventually faded. The trick is to apply Vitamin E liquid to the fresh sore. As long and as often as needed. Cover it with a bandage if needed but make sure the E is on. E causes open sores to heal 3X faster and the scars are hardley visible.

depends on a scar if you had it for over 6months most likely it wont go away because all of the new skin tissues rejuvenate on an average in under 6 months.

I am a dermatologist. Yes, however with time the scar will contract and become smaller and the discoloration usually fades.
