A Shepperd can lead His sheep as far as their free-will allows. Jesus isn't going to force us to follow HIM. God gave each of us free-will to choose between HIM or Satan. Unfortunately so many choose the latter. But this choice doesn't tarnish Jesus' leadership capabilities - He will still lead all those who choose to follow.

God gives us the ability to choose, whether to stay in His grace or walk away. God does not force a person to stay close to Him.

By the way, Jesus loses none of His sheep. He said that in His prayer to the Father in the book of John.

God cannot control a person. If a Christian willfully turns against God it is not God's fault but the persons fault. God is such a gentlemen that he allows us to make all the choices. As a Christian he is in us to guide us. He is a great shepard. He can't control our will.

I would argue that we are not sheep, and that we have the RIGHT to chose which path to follow.
