He didn't.
Christ was teaching Psalms.

Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

Some think Christ taught the entire Psalm but it wasn't writen.

Read Psalms 22.

A prophesy of David written a thousand years before the fact.

Because Jesus was a man. While Jesus was on earth he was wrapped in flesh which mean there was certain weaknesses and certain struggles. The Bible also teaches us that Jesus was tempted. God would never have been tempted. Also notice while Jesus was on earth he never allowed anyone to worship him. This leads me to the conclusion that Jesus was not fully God while on earth. Instead he was the Son of God and that is why he prayed to the Father. However, this is a difficult conclusion because in Colossians the Bible says all the fullness of the Diety exsisted in bodily form. How is that possible? I mean if all the fullness was there then wouldn't we all "melt like wax before the Lord." Especially those who were not following God through faith.

Jesus was the son of God. Jesus had the fullness of the Diety in him. I struggle with this reality but I know that all things are possible for God. And the oneness of Jesus and God is very difficult to discern and understand with our carnal minds. I just don't know everything. You wont' hear that much from a Christian. lol...j/k

Jesus (the Son of God) chose to die for us...knowing that, He knew that His Father would have to turn away.

Wouldn't you cry, too? I grew up with a father, who provided the sperm for me, who now could care less whether I live or die...Jesus' Father, my Father God, was so much more loving and concerned for His own Son, yet He had to turn away when His own Son became sin and rebellion for me...can you imagine?

nobody said in the bible he was God. it said many many times the SON OF GOD not God. God loved the world so much he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ.

The best way I can think of on how to describe this is......when man & woman are married they become one. So when Jesus came to Earth to represent God they were one....hope this helps explain it.

God Bless !

Jesus is god, read Jonh 1:1, Isaias 9:6, etc..
He was 100% man and 100% God. He came to die for us, he is the word (second person in the trinity) that came to the world. The father was in heaven and the word was in earth.

God bless you!

There you go. Two seperate individuals. Jesus wasn't talking to himself, it just doesn't make since the trinity.
Jesus was talking to his Father in the heavens and not himself.

I think you are mistaken. He asked "why have you forsaken me." God cannot stand sin and at that moment he had the entire planet's sins on his shoulders.

He didn't. He said, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" and, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do".
