this guy i like in my bussiness class said to me "I think iv'e seen you before, where do you work?" Then I said "I don't think youve seen me before." I think it sounded like i blew him off. now i don't know what to do. what should i say when i see him tonight. i want him to like me.

If that's all you said, I would think you blew me off too. Just walk up to him and say Hi and tell him you didnt mean to be so short the other day, and you just had something on your mind and let it roll from there.

You DID blow him off with your response. However, in all fairness, that was a pretty personal question to ask as an opener.
Why don't you take the lead and ask him if he has another class after your business class, or ask him what he is majoring in. It's less intrusive and kind of opens the door for light conversation.....

just say "I think that when I spoke to you yesterday (or whenever it was) it sounded like I blew you off. That's honestly not what I meant." That's all.
That way you're already talking, and maybe you'll be able to talk more.

you should be honest with him and say whats on your mind you should say hey you know when you said you thought you saw me some where and i said i didnt think so i wasnt trying to blow you off or anything and then introduce yourself and lead into casual conversation.
