my daughter is graduating in high school this year. is it possible for her to obtain a college scholarship in california being a daughter of a veteran?

do a web search on this topic. Also contact your State Represenative or Senator. They love to help constituents with these kinds of things.

In my state, a person must be a resident for a year before receiving in state tuition. I'm certain each state has it's own rules.

You are elgible for scholarships, but it really depends on your service and what is available is not a free ride, but like a class or a couple of textbooks.
