About 3 out of every 20 Christians that I come upon, feel that they must change my religion, to "save" me. I continue to tell them I don't want to be saved in such a manner, because I believe that God is a hope too good to be true. They continue to persist and ask me stupid questions which I throw aside, but the won't give up. Can anyone tell me why they care?

A lot of people have the belief that people who are not "saved" in one way or another will be condemned for all eternity. They therefore believe that they need to preach the Word to as many people as possible, a way of saving people from experiencing this condemnation.

But that's not all. They feel that if they know someone is not saved, and therefore at risk of being condemned, then it is THEIR duty to try to preach to that person in order to save them. If they don't, that person's condemnation will be blood on their hands come Judgment Day. In other words, they will be accountable for the fact that you are not saved if they know you are not saved and do not attempt to do anything about it.

Some people believe that all religions leads to the same place, but some feel that they have the only true religion and all others will not go to the same place. So no matter what, it's best we all reexamine our faith and see if we are on the right road.

Probably because you express a desire to believe (God is a hope too good to be true). Just mention that religion is a primal ritualistic belief, that there is Justice and Fairness, if not in this world, then in the time after death.

Live Well...............

No one can change you but yourself. Your salvation lies in your own hands and no one elses. You will be responsible for your own actions at the great throne Judgment. Lord have mercy

The Great Commission. He told us to tell people about Him, our love and gratitude for His saving us from judgment and hell compels us to tell others. And His spirit living in us compels us to love those we meet.

i really don't know why. once i talk to a person one time that's it for me, i move on. some care because in their hearts they want you to believe and go to heaven. they need to realize that some people will never believe in their hearts.
