Im looking for someone who has an individualistic view on the situation. No i don't believe in the Bible or the Church because they both try to impose authority in human life. The church is corrupt and no one can convince me otherwise, so anyone with a real view on Christ's death tell me it. And dont give me smack about believing in Christ but not the Church and the Bible.

Hey, believe whatever you wish.

I wasn't there, so I have no first-hand experience.

I have as much evidence that Jesus existed as I have that he was crucified.

Supposedly, the stories about how Jesus died were written down around 50 to 75 years after the event, perhaps by people who were not actually present. At least some of the Gospels would not hold up in a court of law, because they are hearsay evidence.

Oh my gosh you are right the church does push authority on human life. But so does the government, emotions, families, hunger, pain, ect. I really have no idea where that rant was going, other than the fact that humans need to have a bit of authority standing over them.

Well not to give you grief over the whole belief in the Christ but not the Church well that is kind of a really bad judgement. I mean unless you think only in buildings and modern groups than you are much more right in not trusting the modern church.

A real view on the Christ's death, hmmm... Who alive has a true view on that event, eh? Well my best idea would be to take it to the source, or at least as close as you can get, and that would be the Scriptures most importantly the New Testemant. That is sad for you cause you don't believe in that book, so after that I guess you really have no sources that can get any closer to understanding the Truth.

So, how will you know when you find somebody with an individualistic view on a historical event? It doesn't sound like you are looking for answers or knowledge, really. Sounds more to me like you are looking for somebody to agree with you, so you can say "AMEN" or whatever, and find a comfortable place to sit (theologically).

Jesus the Christ was born into a Jewish family, with obscure royal ties, about 2,000 years ago. His foster-father's bloodline gave Him a right to the throne of Judea, but He never sought it. Instead, after working as a carpenter for about 20+ years, he became an itenerant preacher and teacher (about the age of 30). He attracted such a large following that he became a political embarrassment to the theological and political leaders in the nation. These respective camps conspired to kill Jesus, hoping to remove an uncomfortable political problem, and avoid the wrath of Rome (which occupied Palestine at the time). Jesus was beaten nearly to death, and then crucified. His torture took about 1 day, counting from the time He was arrested.

A slight monkey-wrench was thrown into their plans, when Jesus walked out of His own tomb three days after being killed. Now, either (A) Jesus wasn't the one arrested, tortured, and killed, or (B) the Roman soldiers were JUST TOO SOFT on their punching bag, and failed to really KILL him, or (C) a miracle occurred.

(A) is unlikely--the disciples would have known! The High Priest and his cohorts would have known, they really hated this guy! All of the disciples were themselves tortured and most killed, trying to get them to admit that the Ressurection didn't happen. Would they suffer and die, separately, for something they KNEW was a lie? Would you?

(B) Also unlikely. Iron Age Rome was not known for it's softness on "criminals". These were brutal men living in brutal times. The Romans were professional punishers, torturers, and executioners. It is eeeexxxtreeeeemmmmmeeeeely unlikely they "fudged" on this one man. Besides, the centurion's own head was on the line, if one of his prisoners escaped alive!

(C) I have yet to see a better explanation than this one.

Why do I get the impression that you are looking for a specific answer?

I'm not sure what you are looking for. There are two things about Jesus Christ that we know for sure: 1) That he was baptized, and 2) that he was crucified. Both of these events were a tremendous embarassment for a new faith, and the fact that they were even admitted demonstrates their validity beyond a shadow of a doubt. No one would have made these up. The resurrection of Christ falls into the same category. The Platonic-minded Romans would have seen the resurrection as a failure, not a triumph.

Jesus said that many would come in his name, and say that he is the Christ, and deceive many. He was speaking about the great delusion that God would send. God sent us the truth, but man has done wrong in the name of the truth, and many have been deceived. The gospel is truth no matter what man has done in the name of the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God saves his people one at a time. When we realize that we have sin in our life and we humble our self and ask God to save us from our sin and we open the door to our heart we give our life to him and yes, he does take authority over our life. That's the only way he will change us from the inside. He will not make us do his will, but he will give us a new heart and mind to do his will instead of our own once we believe in him.

if you don't believe in the Bible or the church then if anybody told you that Christ was really crucified you probably wouldn't believe it anyway so why ask the question? i'm not understanding the point of this question. is it because you believe in God but not Jesus Christ or what?

When you say the Church is corrupt - you are calling God corrupt. Here is a thought:

Maybe those churches who are corrupt CLAIM to be Christians - but are FALSE Christians. Calling the church Jesus came here to build, corrupt, is calling God corrupt - you might want to watch what you say.

If Jesus was not crucified - then all of God's claims are False - God is NOT false and is ruler of all.

Jesus was captured by the romans for causing trouble within the captive jews. Jesus along with many others died on the cross. He was burried and people stole his body and probably did odd things with it. Explains things loud and clear?
