You have not provided enough information to give a definite answer. If you are filing as Head of Household with one qualified dependent you should get $2,015 in EIC and possibly some small amount of Additional Child Tax Credit in addition to any withholding that you may have had. Any other filing status with give a very different result.

You don't give enough information. Some of the additional information needed: Are you a dependent of someone else? How much did you pay in? How much did you pay for child care? How many dependents did you claim last year (to figure the long-distance telephone tax refund credit)? Do you have any carryovers from previous years? Do you owe the IRS anything from previous years?

Go to www.irs.gov and click on the Free-File link. Take the TurboTax link (or which ever one you like the sound of) and prepare your return for free.

i'll tell you right now filing as Head of Household will get a few extra looks from the auditors. HOH is VERY RARE and only under special circumstances (plus 5,930 in income is too LOW for HOH). the dependant isn't telling me much either you claim to pay for her day care BUT if your child did NOT live with you for at least 7 months YOU CANNOT CLAIM THAT CHILD AS A DEPENDANT!

TREAD CAREFULLY!

sounds like you should get most of what you paid in back since you have a dependent and did not make that much money
