They all provide soaps, and often shampoo and shower caps too. But I hardly see hotels providing a small tube of toothpaste. Why not toothpaste? Would you like hotels to provide that?

A few will do that. Its a nice touch. With the additional restrictions on liquids and gels, it would helpful not to deal with worrying about that.

Wow.
Omgosh.
I never noticed that because I've always brought a toothbrush.
I honestly think that of all the things, people will normally remeber to bring toothpaste/brush. So I think that for hotels to supply them would just be a waste of money, because people would just take them you know?
But if luggage gets lost, or something like that, I think toothpaste and stuff like that would be perfect!
Although I'm quite sure if you called room service, they'd be happy to give you a toothbrush!

I normally bring my own just to be on the safe side, and also because I prefer to use stuff I'm familiar with. One trick is to bring the tube that has been squeezed to last few drops, finish it and throw! Ditto with toothbrush... But yah, I had ever forgotten once, and was really grateful that the hotel provided. So, it will be good if hotels do provide.

I've traveled alot and I have been to a FEW hotels that will provide toothbrush and toothpaste, but you have to go the front desk to request it.

yes! I would love for hotels to have toothpaste! My friend and I recently stayed in 2 hotels and we forgot our toothpaste and of course the hotels didn't provide it for us. and it definitely isn't fun to wake up in the morning with a huge hangover and not be able to brush your teeth!

yes - they can keep the shower caps and the mints. I'd love toothpaste to be in the rooms.
