Freemasonry is not a secret society, cult, religion or anti-Christian sect, nor is it behind the Illuminati, although it is often accused of being such. Membership does require belief in a Supreme Being and there is a Masonic Bible, usually the King James Version of the same book accepted by those Christians who accuse the Masons of being anti-Christian.

Freemasonry is the oldest and largest world wide fraternity dedicated to the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of a Supreme Being. Although of a religious nature, Freemasonry is not a religion. It urges its members, however, to be faithful and devoted to their own religious beliefs.

Freemasonry IS a religious organization. It just isnt a religion. The buildings are called temples becasue every lodge is a symbolic representation of Solomon's temple. Who does a Mason worship? Depends on what religion he is. Since no worship of any kind occurs in lodge, the only religious requirement is that all Masons must believe in one true and ever-living God. Every Mason is encouraged to be active in the church of his own religion, and no talk of specific religion is tolerated in lodge, so that no Mason feels that his religious freedom is being trod upon. I believe that answered both of your questions.

They are a brotherhood and they don't worship at their temples, rather they use temples as a meeting place.

The Temples are really just clubhouses made to specifications and we worship a supreme being. It doesn't matter whether your Christian, Muslim, whatever.... As long as you worship a supreme being it's ok.
