I have to write a persuasive essay. What are some controversial issues relating to animals. For instance, the wolves. Some people want to keep them and others want them out. What are issues are there? The issue needs to have two sides. One supporting. One against.

I would do it on the Breed Specific Legislation.

This is a law that allots a town or county the power to decide what breeds are and are not a threat, as well as allowing them to enforce spay/neuter on all the dogs of that breed, making breeding impossible, or even go as far as mandating that all dogs of a specific breed must be euthanized. The ultimate goal of this is to get rid of all of one specific breed of dog. Right now the target is pit bulls but there are many more on the list that this can be done to including German Shepards, Rottweilers, Huskies and many more.
