I was in the hosptial once as a small kid....they wouldnt let my parents stay with me at night.....I missed home so bad i cried. Even worse than that.....my parents are now both gone.....that is the worst kind of "miss" "sick" there is....say and do all the things you should now.....one day it will be too late.

It is awful. I left home when I was 18 really for the first time and I went to basic training. Man I thought I was going to die, see the first three weeks of basic you cant even call home so I didnt see or hear from anyone back home for three weeks. But after that three weeks it started hurting less and after a little while I wasnt homesick anymore. The key thing is to keep busy so that you dont think about home alot and after a while it will stop hurting real bad. Once in a while you will still get homesick but for the most part it doesnt bother you. I personally have lived in two 4 different states for the last four years and once in a while I do get homesick.

Yes. When I first moved out, at the ripe old age of 16, and sat all alone in my 8ft by 14ft apartment night after night as I had no where to go, and no money to do anything.

It was very sad, and I missed my sister terribly..
I cried alot the first few months. It felt horrible.

Sure.I guess it's normal sometimes to feel homesick.I got that when I had to work overseas for long time.Miss my parents and sisters so much that I cried when I watch family-shows on TV.And when I got married and left home,I miss them terribly again.I called my mom almost everyday and suddenly felt like a lost kid! It's awful but you'll get over it somehow.

It was when I was about....10 or 11. I spent the night over my cuz'n's house on New Years Eve, we basically stayed in their room the whole time. I just wanted to call my mom and tell her to come get me...I was soo bored. But I went over their because my mom and dad was going out and I didnt want to stay home by myself being bored.....I missed my mom soo much that night... When everyone else was sleep I was crying thinking about my dad...

It happens to all of us. Just remember, home is where the heart is and smile. It's still your home and you can always go home. Be thankful you have a home and love it.
