I know exactly what you feel. The same thing happened to me. What I did was call him from a different number and asked him straight up if he wants to continue our relationship. We have been broken up for about three months. But we are friends and we are trying to get back together now. So what I think you should do is call her from a different number that she doesn't know and ask her if she still wants to be with you. Yes it will hurt if she says no. But you have to know and knowing is always the best. Sometimes it hurts but you will feel better. Not right away but you will.

I hope you aren't looking for a shortcut, because there isn't any. Sorry. But here are some tried and true tips (things that either I discovered on my own or someone told me):
Stick to your guns (if you go back on your own decision it's the start of a slippery road to self doubt and other ugly things)
Spend time doing fun things with other people.
Spend time doing feel-good stuff by yourself. Learn a language or sign up for a windsurfing or cooking course.
If you need to talk to someone ring one of those helplines - like the samaritans - sounds dumb but you'll get more benefit from offloading onto a stranger that gets paid to listen than a friend (you have to be really careful not to 'share your sorrow' too much with those you love. Keep your friends in reserve - just in case!
If you think it's becoming an issue go see a counsellor. You don't lose anything by talking to someone trained to deal with other peoples 'hiccups'. It's honestly no big deal, and sometimes they can point out things you hadn't thought of and make helpful suggestions. Although if one doesn't work for you try someone else.
If it all really gets too much try this (sounds strange but really works!!!) - count backwards from 1000 - it disconnects the emotional part of your brain.
And finally, don't worry about how she is feeling or what she is thinking now. You have to concentrate on yourself. If she is thinking or feeling something she thinks you should know she'll tell you.
Big hugs from the break-up (broken up with) queen.

Been there, done that, and the best thing you can do with yourself is learn to be happy with your life *alone*. It's not easy to do, but over time it becomes easier when you see all the ways your life rocks without someone else in it.
Have any hobbies? Like to go places? Use this time to do things for yourself, be selfish, do what makes you happy. Sounds evil but it really does work because it helps you learn how to be "you" again.
When my guy pulled this tactic, I became a social butterfly. I started frequenting social places, meeting new people, and eventually started seeing other people and realizing how great it was to have a social life in my own home town. Sure I had a rocky relationship that ended badly in that time frame, but I also met a lot of great new people I wouldn't have met had I stayed home waiting for a call.
Good luck and remember it takes time!! Soon you'll wonder why the heck you even waited around so long!

I know what your going through because I went through the same thing you did. My ex lived 2 hours away and when we first started dating he used to call me every single day, until about 3 mouths later he stopped, I would call him too. Then he got to the point on making broken promises, until one day I couldn't take it anymore and I backed out. After that I stayed single for almost 2 years and this was back in 2001. It will take time to get over a broken heart. Time brought back an old friend and we've been together for almost 2 years now. Different person all together.

the first part of getting over someone is accepting that it's over. Stop thinking things will get better between you two and accept there is someone better for you out there. It is the worst feeling in the world, I should know! But you just need to surround yourself with close friends that understand you (not the ones that just want to get laid). Try to get something out of the relationship. Learn something! so the next one will be better

You cannot make someone love you or want you.
Get out of the house and do something-fill your day.
Keep busy.
Do not throw yourself at her feet-if you want a chance with her,let her call you.
Do not chase her.
You must find something for just you to get into right now to save yourself.

long distance relationships have a history of not working out. Go for shorter distances. You'll go a lot farther.
