Try to get a stand-in for mom til she kicks de bucket

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. My husband and I bowl a lot.
It usually seems like such a safe sport. I guess it's not so safe, after all. If it were due to unsafe conditions at the bowling alley , you can sue the place. I would.
As far as your problem. Go to your local cemetary. Buy 2 grave lots next to each other. One for Mom (for much later I hope) and one for Dad. Buy a head stone, now. Have both their names put on it but leave the died date blank on your mom's. (It can be filled in later when she dies.)
After she dies, you can have her cremated and buried with your Dad (literally) or you can have his remains exhumed and them put into the casket with her and then buried together.

Go with your mom to pick out two plots at the cemetery. Pick a place where she wants to be buried.
Its kind of morbid for your mom to do so, but it's future "insurance"

Anyways, reserve those two plots and bury your dad in one. Then when mommy dies, bury her there. No need to kill her one the spot to follow your father's dying wish. That's so archaic.

Good luck

Your father could be buried in a plot big enough for two people. So that when your mother passes on, there will be a place next to her deceased husband waiting for her.

As the others said get the double plot to include your Mother later.
The next question would be..Does your Mother want to be buried with him?
The next question would be..what kind of accident???

Get a double plot- that way when your mom passes away she can be buried right next him. Sorry for your loss.

Hopefully, she want to be buried with him, too. So, perhaps you should bury him where she wants to be buried and then bury her there when she dies.

You buy two plots next to each other, bury him and reserve one for her. This is common.
