Hell no!!! Vietnam is jungle and Iraq is desert. Vietnam war we had been drafted to go. Iraq war mainly volunteers. Plus the Iraq war is more reasonable war then the vietnam war. Now war is war, noting more noting less. Now if you want to be rude and know about dead troop math 3000 deaths is noting. You know we had over 3,000 casualties, most in the first few hours of The Omaha Landings on The Battle of Normandy,World War Two. In Vietnam we tried to prevent the spread of Communism. The result was we won but lose the hearts and minds. But we slowed the Cold War. Iraq war is a mix of distroying dictatorship and liberating Iraq. Now the terrorist ones that have the same grudge as ones that hijack our planes and flew them into our buildings. Sure we have come to a wall but bush should be able to break that wall. The one thing in common the wars have we are fighting Guerrilla (insurgents that use hit and run tactics. AKA cowards. So no and stop paying attention to the death toll its bad for an American. Semper Fi.

Actually, it's 900 billion dollars.
In Vietnam war, it's a matter of honor between America and the USSR. Because Soviet helpe north Vietnam, US thinks it's their jon to help South Vietnam. That's just stupid and that's why they lost. In Iraq, US is fighting over nothing. They got so many people killed (3000 US troops plus 50,000 Iraqi) and counting. I didn't get why US government even bother to stabilize Iraq. They have their own leader, so let them help themself.
I think Iraq war is completely different from Vietnam War.

No. Each war is different. And to tell the truth I'm getting a little annoyed with the comparisons especially when people compare the number of soldiers who died in Vietnam with those who have died so far in Iraq. The war in Vietnam had battle lines. The enemy was most times visible.
In Iraq, you have no battle lines.l You see faces, so similar, dress so similar, walks, so similar, ...you do not see the enemy if you limit yourself to men or women who are openly warmed. There are few comparisons between Vietnam and the insanity of the so-called war on terror in Iraq.

only if we cut and run again. There are no similarities between these two wars. None. 53,000 dead in Vietnam. We were fighting communism. The Iraq war is won we are just stabilizing the new country. We still have bases in Germany and Japan 2 countries we defeated over 50 years ago.
