doesn't sound like you're dieting well at all.

what are you on?

are you doing the well balanced diet? www.mypyramid.gov or what are you really doing?

you should not be gaining.

and your mom is not good moral support.. calling one names and nothing else isn't helping..

if she has nothing good to input maybe she should butt out from here on out.

do the food pyramid diet... moderate those calories to the needs... what do you do during the day? how many calories do you need in order to do it?

are you walking?

biking?

exercising in general?

drinking water instead of soda?

stay away from the sweets.. replace them with something healthy that'll fill you up.

Hang in there -- you showed that you had the motivation to eat well and exercise before, so you'll get back on track. Don't beat yourself up for slipping. Take things one day at a time and if you need to, five minutes at a time. When cravings are at their worst, tell yourself that if you wait five minutes and do something else, it will pass. A good thing to do is go out for a walk for five minutes!

I don't know what to say about your mom calling you fatty. That's hard. I would ask her in a very firm tone of voice: "Please don't call me fatty. It makes me feel terrible. I wouldn't call you a terrible name like that."

You didn't mention your age, but you may find that cravings for sweets are worse right before your period. Sometimes a vitamin supplement can help with that -- nothing fancy or expensive, just a plain old multi that has some magnesium in it, too.

Then, at the end of every week when you stay on track, reward yourself with something that's not food: a book, a movie, some little luxury that will make you happy but that's not edible!

Good luck and God bless -- you'll do it!

Get rid of that sweet tooth. Anytime you crave sugar, try to eat something that is sweet but contains virtually no sugar. You can use artificial sweeteners in a homemade fruit smoothie, for example.

example:
1 box sugar-free Jell-O (your fav flavor)
Whipped cream
Directions: Prepare Jell-O and top with whipped cream. Eat!

You can find plenty of similar "recipes" online. If you still crave sugar, go brush your teeth.
