I thought I loved him but people are telling me different. People say because I only talked to him online and only met him once that it isn't love. For like 5 months straight I used to talk to him for like 5 or 6 hours each night. His father died and I would have given up my life for him to have his father back. So is it really love?

I really thought it was love. I've never been in love before so I can't compare the feelings I felt to anything else. I'm just asking because in my heart I feel it was love although I do say to myself I never really hung out with him and that could have changed my feelings for him. I'm just confused because what I have been reading says you meet someone online you can't fall in love with them over the internet and everyone's putting all these thoughts into my head.

Sweetie your the only one who knows if your in love or not. Who put a time limit on how long you have to date or talk before you fall in love? People meet in a day & get married the very next Day so follow your heart not what people say! Ya Heard You do have to be friends before you become Lovers.....Smile you'll be alright listen to your heart and get his if that's what you want. You can't live through others...

Specially in love don't listen to what people says ... because after all they don't care about you as you care about your self ... so just listen to your heart and mind ... think about it a little more ... if you really see that this person is the one who you can love more than your self and sacrifise for ... then you love ... it also important to know what he thinks about you .... if you feel that you are going to fight the whole world to be with him ... then yo love him ... at last it is only your descision ... i have experienced that and knew that you must always trust the one you love ... don't listen to people ... if you wanna know something ... ask him don't ask people .. i hope i helped you.
oh ..... another thing .. you must see him face to face more that talking on the net .. because the net hides the real feelings we have....

Depending on your ages. Maybe it was puppy love maybe love maybe infatuation. Regardless if you cannot be together move on and don't waste time thinking about what could have been.

The fact that you have to ask other people about if you experienced love tells me that, no, you didnt. If you did you would most definately know.

if you have really strong feelings for his guy, you couldv'e loved him. don't let anyone tell you that you don't love someone. this could be really bad when you are in a realtionship. if you would give up yuor life for him than i think its love. good luck.
