The draft would have to be implemented through legislation which especially with dems in control would be nearly impossible except for an obvious preemptive strike against the US. The current draft policy is for males 18 to 26 with 21 and up being the first to be chosen in a lottery style conscription. There has been more discussion about reinstating the draft over the last few years but nothing has actually been put on the table.

The draft is run through the Selective Service administration. Only males 18 and older are required to register, therefore a women will not be drafted, regardless of child or not. There may be other exemptions, so if you are interested, look up selecteive service on the web. The draft has not happened since the Vietnam War.

If a draft is instituted the government can make any criteria they wish. Women, with the exception of pregnant women, will be
included in the draft. Age,.health, certain handicaps, amount of children will be taken into consideration.
No one will get deferments this time for school, special events or any other objection they can think of.

Women are not eligible for the draft. Duhbya and his red friends think women are incapable of defending this country - that , and he doesn't want his daughter to be drafted as he would have to explain this to his wife. Plus, there is not draft now anyway, even thought this is a mid-east Vietnam. But when duhbya decides he wants to attack Iran and Syria, he will try to draft anyone not Republican, religious, rich or in the oil industry - except women or course.

This government can do anything it wants. We're not really democratic. We're socialist. A true democracy wouldn't work in such an apathetic society as ours. If your house is in the way of a new highway, the government can seize it, pay you a bit so you don't fuss and claim it's "for the greater good". They can go start an unjust war with the very people they helped put in power, thus becoming collectively murderers and betrayers all in the name of oil and the president's bank account. They can do anything. All because it's done by degrees. They impeached Nixon for being an accesory to theft. Now our president murders thousands unjustly and it's ok. ...they say you can boil a man alive and he'd never leave the pot if you increased the heat only a few degrees at a time..

They cannot draft women, altough they can recall them to active duty. My buddies wife served four years and two tours in Afganistan and just gave birth to their second son. The army is calling her back up to go again in June.
